Overview

A practical REST API for connecting your product to reliable cloud services, with the essentials organized to get you from first request to integration.

What you can build
Send requests to cloud API services and use their responses in your application, without managing the underlying service infrastructure.
Integration patterns
Use standard REST requests from backend services, web applications, or mobile apps. Keep secret credentials on trusted server-side systems.

Access & security

Authentication

Use a server-side API key as a bearer token to authenticate requests to the Cloud API.

Get authenticated in four steps

  1. Create an API key

Generate a key in your Cloud API project settings.

  2. Keep it on your server

Save the key as an environment variable; never expose it in browser code or a public repository.

  3. Add the bearer token

Send the key in the Authorization header on each request.

  4. Send requests over HTTPS

Use TLS for every request so credentials are encrypted in transit.

Quick reference

Keep credentials private and attach them consistently.

API key

Treat the key like a password. Rotate it if it is exposed.

Bearer token

Authorization header

Authorization: Bearer $CLOUD_API_KEY

Environment setup

Set this in your server environment.

CLOUD_API_KEY=your_api_key

Request headers

Include authorization and declare JSON bodies.

Content-Type: application/json

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common integration questions, so you can get from setup to your first request with confidence.

How long does setup take?
Once you have an API key, you can make a first authenticated request in a few minutes. No SDK is required to get started.
Why is my request returning an authentication error?
Send your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Check for a missing or malformed prefix, a revoked key, or a key from the wrong environment.
What should I do when I hit a rate limit?
On a 429 response, honor Retry-After when present. Otherwise retry with exponential backoff and jitter rather than immediately repeating the request.
How are API versions handled?
Use the version specified in the endpoint reference and keep it fixed in production. Review the changelog before upgrading; do not assume a newer version is a drop-in replacement.
Where should I start first?
Follow the Overview, create an API key in Authentication, then try a read-only request from the Endpoints reference before wiring the call into your application.
